Football fan hats

Getting into the spirit of this year's football World Cup, Jonathan's latest still life personal work is based around the makarapa hats that he found on a visit to Cape Town. The top supporter's accessory, these modified, decorated miner's hard hats are unique to South African football fans. They are sure to be prominent during the competition this summer, where the sounds, language, moves and styles of supporters in the stands are likely to be more colourful and creative than the action on the pitch.

Jonathan has shot six still life images of different makarapas, each in front of a national flag created with light.

Diageo Summer

Here are some thirst quenching new drinks images for Diageo and Schweppes summer campaign. We shot Pimm’s, Smirnoff Vodka and Gordon’s Gin spirits with Tonic, Lemonade & Cola mixers. The flags give it a great British summer feel. All we need to do now is sit back and wait for the sun to start shining! With over 2000 poster sites, it should be up somewhere near you.

Luxure - London Beauty

The summer edition of Luxure magazine is out and features lots of great images from Jonathan; our favourite being Jonathan’s London Beauty story with Eva Bohatova from Storm, make-up from Karen Mason at Debbie Walters Management, and hair by Robert Frampton. Beautiful jewels, with a hint of London scenery give a true touch of luxury.

Jonathan Knowles iPhone App

'What’s the latest iPhone app?', is always a hot topic over lunch at Jonathan Knowles studio. We thought we’d join the great revolution, and put together a Knowles iPhone App. All the great pictures from the website, but in a handy and easy to view format for an iPhone or iPod Touch.

Awards – ‘Daz Nipples’

Jonathan's new advertising campaign for Daz, entitled ‘Nipples’ has won a 'Campaign Big Award' & a bronze ‘Creative Circle’ award, as well as being listed as one of the top 10 posters in 2009, by Campaign magazine. The still life image of a white T-shirt on a line demonstrates the cleanliness obtainable with a cool wash.

It’s always a pleasure to execute a great idea from a very talented creative team, so we were very pleased to be involved in the Daz ‘Nipple’ campaign.
